Seen Series
A Nonprofit Collaboration
What it is:
The Seen Series is a portrait and storytelling project celebrating women connected to nonprofit work - including staff, volunteers, survivors, donors, and quiet changemakers.
This is a space for them to be witnessed, honored and seen; not just for what they do, but for who they are.
Through this project, I partner with nonprofits to hold space for the women who rarely ask to be in the spotlight- but deserve to be remembered in it.
How It Works
I want each Seen Series collaboration to feel aligned and supported from the very start. Here’s how the process unfolds:
1
Submit an Interest Form
Whether you’re part of a nonprofit or simply know of one doing important work, this form is your first step. It gives me a chance to learn about the organization and see if it’s the right fit for the project.
(Both nonprofits and community members can submit this form.)
2
A Quick Meeting
If it feels like a good fit, I’ll schedule a short meeting with a decision-maker from the nonprofit. This is where I share the heart of the project, walk through how it works, and talk through any boundaries or expectations—so everything feels clear and grounded before moving forward.
3
Nominate Your Changemaker
After our conversation, the nonprofit will be invited to nominate one or two women whose stories deserve to be seen. I’ll send a separate form at that stage with all the details they’ll need.
What’s in it for… everyone!
What the Nonprofit Gets:
Up to 2 nominations per year
A portrait session gift for each nominee
Professional portraits for the nonprofit’s use (newsletter, social, events, reports)
A powerful way to celebrate and elevate someone doing meaningful work
This project is offered at no cost to the nonprofit
What the Nominee Receives:
A calm, fully guided portrait session
2 portraits to keep
A quiet, dignifying experience designed to reflect her strength and story
Optional quote or reflection to accompany the image
This experience is offered at no cost to the nominee, along with 2 portraits to keep
Why It Matters:
Every nonprofit is powered by women who give, care, build, and survive—often quietly, behind the scenes. They rarely ask to be seen. The Seen Series offers a meaningful way to give back.
When a woman feels truly witnessed—when she sees herself through someone else’s eyes and recognizes her own strength—something shifts. This project isn’t just about honoring what she does. It’s about celebrating who she is.
And the impact doesn’t stop there. Nonprofits receive powerful professional portraits they can use to highlight their mission, tell their stories, and shine a light on the incredible women who help drive their work forward.

FAQs
Anyone! Whether you’re on staff, a volunteer, or simply someone who loves the work they do — you can submit a nonprofit for consideration. If the organization aligns with the values of the Seen Series, I’ll reach out directly to explore the next steps.
1
Who can suggest a nonprofit?
How much does it cost?
2
If your nominee is selected, there is no session fee for the portrait experience and 2 favorite portraits. Hair and makeup is optional (and available for an additional fee), and any artwork or digitals can be purchased after the session, if desired—there is no obligation.
Where do the sessions take place?
3
All Seen Series portraits take place in my professional studio in Colorado Springs. It’s a calm, welcoming space where each woman is fully guided and supported.
Can we include others in the portraits?
4
Absolutely. The session focuses on the nominated woman, but toward the end of the shoot, we can absolutely include a partner, child, or friend. It’s a beautiful way to honor her connections.
What happens after the portrait session?
5
Each woman will return for a guided ordering appointment where she can select her favorite two portraits, which are included. If she falls in love with more (and many do), she’s welcome to purchase additional images—but there’s never any pressure. The nonprofit will also receive a gallery of final images and may choose their favorite two for full release to use in newsletters, social media, website, or events.
How else can we work together?
6
If you’re part of a nonprofit or community organization, I’d love to talk about speaking at your gala or event — maybe even showcasing a few portraits and stories of your nominees. Let’s connect and dream up something meaningful.
